Reductil Consumer Diet Drug Review

Reductil is a diet drug that is very popular in European countries right now. It is used to help men and women with weight loss issues. In the U.S. it is marketed as Meridia.

Ideal Candidates

The people who seem to benefit the most from Reductil are those that are severely obese. It also probably would help people who are experiencing health problems or who are at borderline health risk.

For instance, people who have normal blood pressure but who are in danger of having high blood pressure may use it. However, people whose blood pressure levels are way above normal should not.

Neither should people who are currently suffering from heart disease or kidney failure. Likewise, people who are under 16 years of age or pregnant and nursing women should not use Reductil.

Its Function

The role of Reductil is to suppress appetite. This is done by sending a signal to the brain that tells users of this product that they are full. This increases at least a physical desire not to eat.

This affect on appetite is accomplished as operations of the nervous system are altered by this drug. More specifically, it has an affect on neurotransmission and the chemicals responsible for metabolism and fat storage as well as energy usage and appetite.

Chemicals of the brain that are regulated by use of this drug may include the following: domapine, epinephrine (adrenalin), and norepinephrine (noradrenalin). It may affect other chemicals within the brain that affect how the body craves food as well.

Dosage and Usage

Reductil is usually administered on one of three strengths. The lowest dosage level is 5mg, and the next highest is 10 mg, and the highest is 15 mg. This product should not be taken for longer than one year.

It only can be legally given to a patient who receives a doctor’s prescription. Users who consume it should be careful to only take the correct dosage at the correct times.

Be careful of overdose or drug interaction. For more information about this as well as other potential health risks you should contact your doctor or other health specialist.

Additional Self-Care

People who are obese and are concerned about their health are also encouraged to seek a diet and exercise plan that is right for them. Every person is unique so one person may not require the same routine as another may. If you have any additional questions, that is what your doctor is for!
