Reductil is an appetite suppressant medication that is especially popular in Europe right now. It also is used in the United States under a different name (Meridia).
In order to get the most out of using this medication, a simple usage guide is recommended. For instance, it might help you to learn a few dosage and usage tips as indicated here:
- Using this product alone is not likely to help you reach your weight loss goal. You also need to adhere to a regular exercise and diet program.
- Until you know how this medication will affect you, all important meetings or tasks should be cancelled. Until you know for sure you can concentrate 100% on your work do not plan too many projects.
- As you take Reductil, make sure you monitor your weight. Track your progress in order to determine whether using this product is worth it.
- Usually usage of this medication is encouraged if you are not losing at least 5% of your body weight within three months. Either that or if after you are on it for three months and you have not lost 5% of your body weight a different solution may be needed.
- Use with caution if you are suffering from the following health conditions: hypertension, epilepsy, glaucoma (open angle), depression, or chronic bleeding. People who suffer moderate to severe kidney problems should also beware. The same applies to people with severe cardiovascular problems such as coronary heart failure or hardened arteries.
- It should be used very carefully by who have a family history glaucoma (even if patient does not) or if taken or blood clot prevention medications. People who experience involuntary muscle twitching also should not take it.
- Another group of individuals who should be cautious while using Reductil are those who suffer sleep apnea syndrome. Short spells characterized by discontinued breathing while sleeping is a made reason not to take this particular weight loss drug (Meridia/Reductil).
- People over 65 years or under 18 years old should not use this medication. Children should definitely not use it at all, nor should anyone addicted to drugs. Alcoholics should not use it either.
- Individuals who are suffering a several mental illness such as schizophrenia or Bipolar disorder should not use it either. If you are severely depressed to the point of being suicidal, you also should not use this drug.
- Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should also not use Reductil. It could cause severe damage to the baby.
